Michael Reese is an Atlanta based photographer and conceptual artist working in themes related to history, identity and metaphorical flight. He received his B.F.A. in photography from The Atlanta College Of Art.
Reese exhibits regularly through the traditional gallery system and has been included in numerous public art exhibitions. Recent notable exhibits include The Shape Of A Pocket, Sandler Hudson Gallery, Atlanta, GA, SCORE: Artist In Overtime, Museum Of Contemporary Art, Atlanta, GA and E-Merge, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Atlanta, GA.
His latest commission “A Force Proportional To Their Masses” is a public art installation honoring African Americans in aviation past, present and future. This can be seen at The Fulton County Aviation Community Cultural Center in Atlanta, GA.
Reese’s work is also featured in selected private and public collections including The High Museum, Clark Atlanta University, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Fulton County Arts Council, Atlanta Office Of Cultural Affairs and Agnes Scott College.
